- Abstract
The article discusses controlling of effector T cell activation while preservation of regulatory T cell (Treg) function after transplant through combined OX40L and mTOR blockade. Topics discussed include partial control of T cell activation through calcineurin inhibitor–based strategies, more compatibility of mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibition with sirolimus, and combined OX40L blockade and sirolimus representing promising strategy for inducing immune balance after transplant.
