- Abstract
The article is inserted in the applied field of language studies and presents the results of a research that aimed to investigate text production practices based on social uses of language in the context of school literacy. Specifically, it analyzes the development of language skills in the textual production of the digital news genre by two 7th grade students from a private school located in the city of Santana - Amapá. The action research was based on the theoretical and methodological framework of Sociodiscursive Interactionism and on the discussions about language skills. In the data analysis, referring to the first and second version of the production of the news genre, we focused on the signification capacities (Cristovão; Stutz, 2011; Cristovão, 2013) and the action capacities (Dolz; Pasquier; Bronckart, 1993; Cristivão, 2013) mobilized by the agents-producers in the elaboration of the genre object of teaching in the project. The results show that in their initial production the students presented partial domain of the language capacities of signification and action in relation to the genre. However, from the second version on, it is possible to observe the mobilization of these language capacities by the producers, capacities that were worked on during the didactic intervention carried out during the research. It was possible to observe the development, on the part of the students, of semiotic representations of the genre and the mobilization of signification capacities that helped the expansion of the other language capacities related to the social functioning of the news genre in real practices of language use.
