- Title
Averting Bank Distress in Internationalized Financial System: Evolving a Comprehensive Risk Management Process.
- Authors
Talwar, Shalini
- Abstract
The main purpose of writing this paper is to evolve a comprehensive risk management process for banks that they can adapt to their individual requirements based on their size and other factors. Since no risk management model that includes all aspects of risk management has been found in the existing literature, the paper successfully bridges the gap and lays down the foundation for further work in this direction. The paper is also written with the objective of promoting the thought that risk management may be looked at as a process that banks need to approach in a systematic manner as against the current practice that equates risk management with use of fancy, statistical measurement models and exotic risk hedging products.
