The authors recommend that content experts collaborate with medical librarians when writing review articles. Topics discusses include the importance of searching multiple databases, the benefits of the preliminary searches conducted by a librarian, some factors to consider when choosing a database, determining the terms to use as free-text keywords and the role of medical librarians in assisting clinicians access medical literature they need to provide patient care.
