The authors comment on a study published in the journal which examined the effects of cellular telephone use on the glucose metabolism in the brain of humans. They cite two important findings of the study, which include the significant linear correlation observed between enhanced neural metabolic rate and the estimated rate of radio frequency energy absorption expected in brain regions. He states that the study results add to the concern about possible acute and long-term health effects of radio frequency emissions from wireless phones,
