Abstract
The article reflects on the study of chance-as-art and its relevance from philosophical view point. It refers to interpretations of chance by artists, poets and writers such as Andre Bréton, François Morellet, and John Cage highlighting its various dimensions by associating it with naturalism, radicalism and artificialism. It further states that chance which emerged as a feature of art in twentieth century, now serves as a modernistic answer to all modern issues.
