- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 46‑year‑old man who was suffering from sensorium and right‑side hemiparesis and had ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and diagnosed with fixed cervical region deformity and patient recovered after performing tracheal extubation. It notes progressive autoimmune spondyloarthropathy with cervical spine involvement leads to chin-on-chest deformity resulting in fixed flexion deformity and underlines safest option is using awake fiber‑optic/ fiberscope intubation.
