- Title
Why Children Die: a commentary on the CEMACH report.
- Authors
Platt, Martin Ward
- Abstract
The article explores issues behind the headline finding of the Confidential Enquiry into Maternal and Child Health (CEMACH) report titled "Why Children Die." Researchers try to identify some of the themes that should influence health policy at national, regional and local level. Some clinical vignettes from the CEMACH report are taken and used them as the basis for unpicking both the superficial and underlying factors that appeared to lead to the death.
