CONSTITUTIONAL LAW: DRAWING A NEW CRITICAL LINE BETWEEN THE STATE'S COMPETING INTERESTS IN ABORTION REGULATION TO COMPORT WITH SOCIAL PALPABILITY.
- Authors
Pill, Jason
- Abstract
The article discusses the constitutionality of State regulation in the U.S. on abortion and the rights of a woman in opting to terminate her pregnancy, wherein a critical line has to be drawn. It stresses the State's legitimate and substantial interest in preserving human life, that of the mother and of the fetus, while reflecting on a woman's constitutional rights. The article cites the distinction between the two abortion procedures and suggests that a brutal procedure would make society less and less sensible to the life of the unborn.
