- Abstract
An interview with environmental activist Sinegugu Zukulu, who hails from the coastal region of South Africa including AmaDiba in Bizana, Mpondoland, Eastern Cape. He discusses the reasons behind the strong opposition to mining in Xolobeni. Topics discussed include the importance of bottom-up, community-driven development, criticism of top-down approaches prioritizing investor interests over local well-being and the sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism to mining for rural livelihoods.
