- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 93-year-old female undergoing an elective right total hip replacement after giving general anaesthesia. The patient during the positioning of the hip prosthesis, suffered cardiac arrest. The non-contrast postmortem CT (computed tomography) (PMCT) demonstrated fatal fat embolisation which was associated with prosthetic femoral neck replacement.
