- Abstract
The article examines the use of different generations of core-shell modifiers based on hydroxyl-terminated dendritic poly(amidoamine)s in enhancing the properties of urea formaldehyde wood adhesive system. The study concludes that hydroxy-terminated dendritic poly(amidoamine)s may be used as an effective modifier for urea-formaldehyde resin adhesives in resin stability and enhanced mechancial strength of wood structures. These polymers can also function as traps for free formaldehyde.
