- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigated the thermal properties and flame retardancy of polycarbonate (PC) and polycarbonate/hydroxapatite (PC/HAP) composites. The first step decomposition activation energy was found to be higher than that of pure PC while the second step decomposition decreased a little. The study concluded that a low content of HAP composite in PC matrix can improve the thermal properties and flame retardancy of the composite.
