- Abstract
This dialogue features the Peruvian filmmaker Nora de Izcue, paying particular attention to her early documentary Runan Caycu, the impact it had on her own trajectory as a director, and the role it played in connecting her with the New Latin American Cinema movement. De Izcue has not only contributed to the Peruvian documentary tradition through her groundbreaking films and filmmaking process, but has also been instrumental in promoting social justice filmmaking throughout Latin America. This article expands international awareness of De Izcue's work, opening new pathways for engagement and analysis.
