- Title
The Next Generation of Prostate Cancer Screening: The Promise of Urine Diagnostics.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the potential use of urine diagnostics in prostate cancer screening. The traditional screening using serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) is deemed imperfect due to its low specificity, which may lead to multiple prostate biopsies and overtreatment of clinically insignificant disease. It is pointed out that the use of urine samples is noninvasive and may offer a more complete representation of the prostate gland.
