- Abstract
The article focuses on ways to market one's expert witness and litigation consulting services through a direct letter in the U.S. in 1998. It explains the elements of a direct, personal marketing strategy, which include the letter and its contents, and the list of attorneys to whom a correspondence should be given. The author advises against including a personal resume with the letter, but recommends stating at the end of the correspondence that one will be provided upon request. He suggests that one should send multiple mailings to the same lawyers. He adds that one should avoid complacency when implementing a client-centered marketing during the early success or failure of such strategy.
