Chronicle of the March Against Israeli Aggression in Mexico City.
- Authors
Hazard, Johnny
- Abstract
Between 2,000 and 4,000 people participated in a march against Israeli aggression in Mexico City, with another 2,000 or more showing support from the sidelines. The march began at the Ãngel de la Independencia and ended at the Zócalo, the main square. The event included an international presence, including a group from Ireland expressing solidarity with Palestine. While most participants were unaffiliated individuals, there were also left-wing groups, human rights advocates, students, and a contingent from a teachers' union. The next march is scheduled for November 5th, coinciding with a national march in the US and the end of the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico.
