- Abstract
The article discusses the emerging role of diet in dermatologic therapy, focusing on the potential benefits of ketogenic and low-glycemic diets in treating inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS).Topics include the mechanisms through which these diets may exert their effects, the influence of weight loss and ketogenesis on systemic inflammation, and the current evidence base supporting their use in managing inflammatory skin conditions.
