- Abstract
The article discusses rehabilitative therapy of older patients. It mentions that advancements in life expectancy has led to an increase in disability among the older age groups, resulting to more welfare and a rise in health and social care costs. It notes that rehabilitation takes into consideration areas including the needs of an individual, social context, environment as well as disability. It adds that rehabilitative therapy poses risks to disabled elderly patients and those at risk of disability.
