The article explores the publication of sacred music in the second half of the 20th century. It looks at the conditions that led to the professionalization and commercialization of sacred music choral leadership. It also examines the composers who contributed to this period on intense church music attention and activity includign Lloyd Pfautsch, Ralph Carmichael and Kurt Kaiser.
