- Abstract
The article focuses on the theological perspective of French composer Gabriel Fauré which describes the journey of the human soul to the afterlife. Topics discussed include Faur&#233's point of view against the Roman Catholic dogma as presented in the sculpture of artist Phillippe Joseph Henri Lemaire, the association of the statue of Mary Magdalene in the Church of La Madeleine in Paris, France and The Last Judgment sculpture to his works, and his compositional choices.
