- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the results on surveys about the perception of Russians towards themselves, language situation in Ukraine, and the attitudes of Germans toward the Polish state. Many Russians do not consider themselves as Europeans. About 40% of those inhabitants of Ukraine speak the Ukrainian language only and 40% of them also speak the Russian language only. About 25% of the Germans have disagreed with the decision of the government to abandon claims to Warmia, Masuria, and Silesia.
