- Authors
Waldman, Ellen A.
- Abstract
The article discusses various goals of justice in restorative and retributive schemas. The author situates these understanding in a brief accounting of South Africa's experiment with restorative justice principles. The concern with writing wrongs and restoring equilibrium to a moral order upturned by criminal wrongdoing is central to both, retributive and restorative justice.
