- Abstract
The article discusses a study on a proposed framework for performing fiber-orientation distribution function (fODF) estimation and tractography simultaneously based on a new class of tensor kernels. The use of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the study of the microstructure of fibers is tackled. The framework specifically utilizes second and higher-order tensor-based kernels. The study focused first on fibers that originate in the corpus callosum and then examined corticospinal tract.
