- Abstract
We have studied the characteristic features of the interaction between motor-oil additives for different functional purposes with the aim of identifying synergism in the additive combinations. It is shown that the interactions should be studied using methods simulating the operating conditions for the motor oil. We identified synergistic combinations of some next-generation additives, which can be used to reduce the total additive content in the oil without having a negative impact on its quality.
