- Abstract
The article presents a study on the bis(tri-n-butyltin) oxide (TBTO) toxicity assessment using human KB cells and yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It states that the cell growth inhibition was determined by the total number of viable cells comparison in TBTO-treated cultures, and it used the ID50 values as an index for TBTO toxicity. Result shows that the cells that exposed to TBTO showed a decrease in growth and ID50 values found TBTO compound.
