- Abstract
The article focuses on the case of Prairie Bane of the Potawatomi Nation vs. Wagnon in Kansas. The plaintiff, a federally recognized Indian tribe seeking injunction of a Kansas statute, which requires state registrations and titles for all vehicles operating in Kansas. The Kansas state officials enforced the statute by regulating the increase of motor vehicle traffic on its reservation. The court affirmed the permanent injunction relief prohibiting the enforcement of Kansas motor vehicle registration and tilting laws against the Indian tribe.
