- Abstract
Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder which is characterized by memory loss, personality modifications, language impairment and memory loss. Despite the fact that it has been found over 100 years, the etiology of AD stays uncertain. World Health Organization research (2016) found AD as the fifth driving reason for death worldwide (approx. 2 million deaths) after COPD, heart diseases, stroke and respiratory infections. Cure is still not available for AD and symptomatic treatments are showing only temporary and moderate effects. Albeit numerous AD treatment researches have been completed, new treatments are not discovered yet in the way exceptionally required. For mitigating cognitive impairment, long-term effective treatment is a significant neglected requirement. Researchers are continuously searching the new medicinal attributes for treating AD. This review chiefly engrossed the information on newly developed synthetic derivatives which have been conveyed to display noteworthy Anti-Alzheimer actions.
