- Abstract
The article discusses issues related to land use restrictions in the U.S. It has been stated that land use restrictions are the prime toll of municipal planners to maintain the local economy. It has been stated that police have the power to impose regulations and restrictions on land to promote public convenience or the general prosperity, as well as to promote the public health and safety. It has been stated that the Illinois Supreme Court issued that the goal of zoning is to conserve aggregate taxable value of property in a community. It has been stated that minimum lot size zoning could be viewed as a regulation of population density in towns as it is justified on grounds of public health, safety, and general welfare.
