- Title
THE PROPOSED UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE AS A PROBLEM IN CODIFICATION.
- Authors
BEUTEL, FREDERICK K.
- Abstract
The article discusses the proposed Uniform Commercial Code which has been designed to control the major part of the interstate commerce in the U.S. It also discusses the effort of the Commission of Uniform Laws in drafting the code and how it has decided to do away with its efforts in the creation of laws related to various subjects including negotiable instruments, warehouse receipts, bills of lading and stock transfers. According to the author, codification is the only way to achieve uniformity in laws where multiple jurisdictions are involved.
