- Title
Ética y poética en el juego teatral de Reikiavik de Juan Mayorga.
- Authors

- Abstract
Reikiavik is a play about the power of imagination and memory, as the author states, and it also plays with individual and collective identity, according to its director, Juan Mayorga, who drives both the dramaturgy and the stage management of this theatrical piece. He takes us on a journey where we, playing the part of voyeurs, will be witnesses to the chess game that had a huge impact on the history of chess and the Cold War. The idea of a 'theatrical game' that characterizes the dramaturgy and the performance is the common thread that will lead us to analyse the poetic structure of the text and its ethical implications, supposing that the theatrical work should create a space for dialogue, reflexion and criticism, not only regarding the stage play itself, but also, what is even more important, between the performance and the audience.
