- Abstract
The article presents an advice developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure the quality of hepatitis E vaccines. The WHO outlined approaches to deal with the threat of the infection including the creation of resources for responding to waterborne hepatitis E outbreaks, the review of evidence-based recommendations on the use of the vaccine and the preparation of a framework for decision-making on vaccination. The conditions for accepting vaccines for WHO evaluation are listed.
