- Abstract
The article focuses on the history of reception and settlement of Huguenot soldiers in the Netherlands during the reigns of King Henry IV and William III of Orange in the 16th and 17th centuries. It investigates the role of William III in establishing the Huguenot communities, the military connections between French Huguenots, the Dutch Republic and Great Britain. It seeks to find out the Anglo-Huguenot character which became a key aspect in the ultra-Protestant activity of British military.
