- Abstract
The article discusses studies that demonstrates the aberrant expression of microRNAs (miRNAs), which participates in the pathogenetic processes that mediates diabetic cardiomyopathy. It discusses the role of miRNAs in the advancement of diabetic cardiomyopathy to clarify the molecular mechanisms and to identify novel therapeutic strategies for it and the important feature of diabetic cardiomyopathy such as cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, myocardial fibrosis and cardiomyocyte apoptosis.
