- Abstract
It is found that the COD decreases with the increase of initial crack-depth ratio, indicating that the fracture behavior of FRP reinforced concrete with crack can be effectively analyzed by combining DIC method. Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) is a new type of fiber reinforced composite material consisting of a fiber material and a matrix material. The crack extension lengths were about 75, 65, 56, and 46 mm, and the crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) were 0.315, 0.291, 0.247, and 0.215 mm, respectively, within the range of the initial crack-depth ratio changing from 0.2 to 0.5, indicating that as the increase of the initial crack-depth ratio, the crack extension length of the FRP reinforced concrete beam is shorter and the crack opening displacement is smaller.
