- Authors
Kerr, Peter G.
- Abstract
The author discusses whether an ideal renal replacement therapy would better symptoms and outcomes to the level of patients with normal renal function and to the patient's well being. He addresses three components to the ideal renal replacement which include dealing with volume control, adequate urea-based targets, and small solutes. Also discussed is the other approach to changing the dialysis procesure which is to consider hemodiafiltration, which improves cardiovascular stability.
