- Abstract
The article focuses on chronic skin condition called Atopic dermatitis (AD) and its treatment. Topics discussed include creation of a disturbed skin barrier created by inflammatory type 2 helper T-cell (Th2) as being its symptom, unsatisfactory use of topical glucocorticoids and emollients for its treatment by physicians, use of a monoclonal antibody dupilumab that is directed against subunits of interleukin-4 receptors and approval of dupilumab by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
