- Abstract
The main objective of this research is to demonstrate the impact of career management on organizational commitment. For this purpose, a research was conducted in a firm in chemical industry, Istanbul. In the research, career management was examined in terms of organizational and individual. Organizational commitment was examined in terms of affective commitment, continuity commitment and normative commitment. The effect of career management on organizational commitment was established and the relationship between the dimensions of career management and the dimensions of organizational commitment were examined. According to results, organizational and individual career management have a positive effect on emotional commitment and continuity commitment, and there is a positive and moderately meaningful relationship between them. On the other hand, there is no significant relationship between the organizational and individual career management, and the normative commitment.
