- Abstract
Precise control of the morphology and emission properties is reported for the self‐assembled nanostructures of two non‐amphiphilic star‐shape 2,4,6‐tris(1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)‐1,3,5‐triazine derivatives. A variety of exciting architectures such as spherical particles, one‐hole hollow spheres, toroids, twisted fibers and helical nanotubes have been obtained in a controlled way by using a straightforward reprecipitation method. Interestingly, aggregation induced emission (AIE) has been observed. Quantum‐chemical calculations provide insight into the aggregation and optical properties. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Enrique Ortí, Raquel Giménez, Teresa Sierra et al. on page 130 in Issue 1, 2019 (DOI: 10.1002/cnma.201800484).
