- Abstract
The article presents information on the legal framework based on the emergence of South Sudan as an independent state and its international delimitation. The issues related to domestic constitutional arrangement and new international borders are discussed. The challenges related to the application of the 1956 colonial boundary rules, the importance of latest internal boundary rules and the exceptions in the 1956 rules are also discussed.
