The article presents a brief profile of the 19th century Jewish American military heroes of the Indian Wars Sigmund Shlesinger and Max Littmann. Details are given outlining the careers of both figures, noting their participation in the 1868 Battle of Beecher Island in Kansas and the 1867 Wagon Box Fight of Wyoming, respectively. Specific details are given providing accounts from Littmann's engagement in the Wagon Box Fight. Further information is given reviewing the other major events of Littmann's life.
