- Abstract
The article reports on a case of nonsuppurative encephalitis in a 4-year-old male German Hunting Terrier. Some of the symptoms experienced by the dog include tremor, dyspnea, trismus and hypothermia. The dog died despite treatment and hospitalization. It relates the detection of Aujeszky disease virus (Suid herpesvirus) antigen in neurons in the brain and in ganglion cells of the trigeminal ganglia.
