- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a Identification of a novel AVEN-NUTM1 fusion gene in acute myeloid leukemia. Topics discussed include NUTM1 gene is located in chromosome 15q14 and encodes a nucleoprotein of the testis; and NUTM1, a chromatin regulatory protein which can bind and activate histone acetyltransferase p300, expressed only in the testis. BRD4-NUTM1 was the first NUTM1 fusion reported in NUT midline carcinoma.
