The article focuses on the development and Influence of Acadia's La Petite Cendrillouse. Topis include Acadian "Cinderella" story that scholar Ernest Haden recorded and transcribed in eastern Canada in 1941 and its comparative analysis with Poitou, France's Cendrouse and Acadia's La Petite Cendrillouse, which reveals four similarities including the construct of gender roles, the influence of the carnivalesque, the theme of the quest for freedom in utopia, and linguistic homogeneity.
