- Abstract
The article focuses on armed guards, marine insurance and the implied warranty of legality in the Somali Piracy Act. It discusses the court case Masefield AG v. Amlin Corporate Member Ltd. of 2010, depicting that the court's decision would end up in promoting terrorism in place of piracy. It represents illegal acts committed in response to Somali piracy that perverted the contracts of marine insurance covered under Marine Insurance Act.
