- Abstract
The article discusses the semi-automated classification of time-lapse red-green-blue (RGB) imagery of the proglacial Isortoq River in southwest Greenland between 2011 and 2012, taken with two Nikon D200 model RGB cameras. Topics include techniques for filtering images to reduce environmental obstacles, such as shadows, the creation of a hydrograph proxy for the Isortoq River, and the challenges of studying proglacial streams and rivers along land-terminating edges of the Greenland Ice Sheet.
