- Abstract
The article discusses the aging of the farmer population in Kentucky based on information from the National Agricultural Statistics Service and the need for adapting health care services to agricultural lifestyles. It takes note of the commitment of farmers to their task along with the disregard for chronic conditions and routing hazards as indicated in a 2012 study by Reed et al. Recommendations to nurses from the International Society for Agricultural Safety and Health are discussed.
