- Abstract
The article examines the ambiguity of the novel "Native Son," by Richard Wright and the short story "Come Dance With Me in Ireland," by Shirley Jackson. It explores the attempt to express ties between two different ethnicities and not just the racial propaganda. It characters portrayed in the short story and the prominent protagonist of Wright's novel. It notes that these characters could not ever attain the human connection that the authors would like to portray as all the same important.
