- Abstract
The article discusses Japanese Canadian artist Roy Kiyooka and his participation in the 1970 Japan World Exposition (Expo '70) held in Osaka, Japan. The author discusses Kiyooka's 1970 photographic sequence "StoneDGloves" and its accompanying text, which were inspired by Kiyooka's experiences at the Expo site, and focuses on themes of decolonization in Kiyooka's work. Also discussed is the author's participation in the "Empire and Overseas Literature" project.
