- Abstract
The article examines the aspect of interiority in the novels of authors Rainer Maria Rilke and Scipio Slataper. The interiority of these authors' is related to the Austrian literature which was brought about by Triestine writers. In addition, the interiority in their novels focus on the analogous qualities between pairs of Triestine and Austrian novelists. According to critics, Rilke's poetry is analyzed and explained with Malte's words and scholars refer to Rilke's protagonist which draws the author and narrator closer together.
